Green Flag for Biodiversity

We raised our fifth Green Flag for Biodiversity officially after attending an online award ceremony by An Taisce.We were delighted to have our very special guest of honour Denis McAuliffe raising the flag.Denis is a member of our Board Of Management and does amazing voluntary work upkeeping the school grounds.Denis is always there to give a hand!
The Green School Committee gave a lovely presentation describing all that has been done in the school.
 This was a special day for our school as we celebrate 10 years working on the Green School initiative.We are always working on previous themes also ensuring the school is a greener place for everyone.
The day was topped off with the surprise arrival of the ice-cream van to the school yard.Everyone really enjoyed this well deserved treat after all the wonderful work!
 A sincere thanks to our Parents Association who funded this treat and who are always supporting everything we do.
