We had wonderful day in school with a visit from three local musicians Leah, Eoin & Tim who were part of a Cork County Council local live performances initiative.
The children experienced traditional music at its finest, got to ask about the the tunes, the instruments and played an active role in clapping out the rhythm of some locally produced jigs and reels.
It was a first for Meelin N.S. to have our very own music session and what an entertaining afternoon.Thanks to Cork County Council & partners for giving us this fabulous opportunity.
