Hope ye are all enjoying this glorious weather.
Meelin N.S. are delighted to be taking part in our very own ‘Fun Run‘ fundraiser for the Air Ambulance, Rathcoole. The air ambulance is a vital lifesaving service, offering fast and timely emergency medical care for the Meelin area and beyond. This is a community based charity and we would like to help them raise much needed funds.
The distance from Meelin to Rathcoole is 25 km approx. Therefore everyday from today until the 28th of May, the children will run a kilometre (12 laps) around the school yard accumulating the total kilometres from Meelin to Rathcoole by the end of May. We are kindly asking each family to make a donation, however big or small by Wednesday the 26th of May. You are more than welcome to spread the word of our fundraising initiative to grandparents, uncles/aunts, cousins and friends if they too would like to donate.There will be no sponsorship cards due to the current restrictions, therefore please put your donation in an envelope and hand into the school. We will have a presentation/celebratory day for the children on Friday the 28th of May. Please ensure your child wears suitable footwear each day for the running.
